Talin Aghazarian brings to Municipal Resource Group a variety of planning skills and experience, having worked as a planner at the municipal level as well as in a variety of corporate planning positions for over 15 years.
Prior to joining MRG, Talin held planning positions with various companies and agencies. In the early years of her career, she worked in a variety of planning positions for various cities in Northern California, including the Cities of Walnut Creek (Planning Intern), Orinda (Assistant Planner), and Concord (Project Planner).
From 2000 to 2003, Talin served as Planning Specialist for The Alaris Group with regard to both municipal and corporate entities, including the City of Larkspur, California as well as Cingular Wireless and Sprint PCS. From 2003 to 2008, she served as Project Manager for Pacific Land Services, where she managed the West Coast Region New Store and Store Expansion Projects for Target Corporation.
From late 2008 to early 2010, Talin was employed by the Contra Costa County Redevelopment Agency as a Contract Planner, where she managed various planning projects located in the redevelopment area for Contra Costa County, as well as projects eligible for the Community Development Block Grant-Recovery Program. She also prepared Environmental Studies for both NEPA and CEQA while in this position.
From early 2009 to the present, Talin has served as a Contract Planner for T-Mobile Wireless, AT&T Mobility and Metro PCS in Northern California.
In addition to her significant field experience with major clients, Talin attended the University of Salamanca, Spain, and the University of California at Berkeley, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a concentration in Urban Studies, and minored in Art History.
