Sofia has leveraged her 20+ years of executive-level experience in private industry and consulting to help business leaders and human resource functions conceptualize, design, and execute major change that can lead to a more strategic, business-driven organization.
She helps organizations develop and integrate operating models, with a targeted focus on optimizing the delivery of HR services to promote improved performance company-wide. She brings her insights from private industry to bolster innovation in government and public agencies. Sofia’s consulting experience traverses the Human Capital landscape and includes strategy, operating model design, and transition, organizational development, sourcing, enterprise workforce transition, learning, leadership development, coaching, and change management.
Sofia’s goal is to elevate the human experience in organizations by cultivating exponential HR professionals and the enterprises they are a part of, to become, client-centered, team-driven, agile, architecting, and augmented.
Sofia has a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology, a master’s degree in Instructional Technology, and doctoral studies in Educational Psychology and Technology from the University of Southern California. She also holds a certification in Mediating the Litigated Case from Pepperdine University’s School of Law, Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, and a Coaching certificate from the Neuroleadership Institute. Sofia has completed numerous specialty programs including training from Government Alliance on Race and Equity (GARE), Brain Based Coaching, Building Game-Changing Organizations, and Corporate Strategy Development. She has served on public and private boards, in California, and is a speaker at conferences and management retreats.
